In July of 2008 Africa Bags expanded into its fifth village and formed the Chibanzi Group!  This group consists of members from several different villages that all come together within Chibanzi Village to participate in the Africa Bags project.
 
The group has done such a good job making our original cloth shopping bags that they were selected to be one of two groups trained to produce our reversible shoulder bags.

The men and women in the Chibanzi Africa Bags group have contribtuted a portion of their profits from the sales of their bags to build a restroom for the children of Chibanzi Village nursery.

They are also currently using some of the profits to buy cement to finish the floor of an abandoned building within Chibanzi.  This building will be used by the sewing group for the production of Africa Bags!
