Hi, my name is Riley Petitt. I am 12 years old and I go to Bill Reed Middle School in Loveland,
Colorado. I am fundraising to bring an African boy named Timothy (Timmy) to America to attend school. Hopefully
he can attend Bill Reed with me.
Timothy is also 12 years
old. He lives in Embangweni, Malawi. I first met Timothy 18 months ago during my first visit to Malawi, Africa
to volunteer for my parents non-profit organization, Africa Bags. Timothy and I immediately became the best of friends!
He is a very intelligent student and also very kind. He is caring, generous, out going, and one of the best people I
have ever met. I would love to be able to help Timothy get a better education.
I am curently trying to set up a penny war at Bill Reed, and other fund raising opportunities. A penny
war, for those of you who dont know, is when students bring extra change to school, and each penny gets 1 point.
Any other coins greater in value than a penny take away points. For example a quarter takes away 25 points and a dollar
takes away 100 points. Each class puts the negitive coins in the other teams bucket, and all the pennies in their own
bucket. Each 6th, 7th, and 8th grade class will have a competition to see which grade will win by gathering the most points.
All coins and money collected will be used to fund Timothy's travel expenses to America.
I am also accepting funds from anyone else who is interested in helping give Timothy the opportunity to go to school
here in America. If you would like to make a contribution to bring Tim to America please make a check payable to Africa
Bags and send to 235 Hopkins Court, Loveland, Colorado, 80537. Because Africa Bags is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization all
donations are tax deductible. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!
