The Africa Bags Apron is brand new from the rural villages of Malawi, Africa! This apron is hand-crafted on foot powered treadle sewing machines by the Africa Bags group in Embangweni Village. Aprons are made out of chitenjes, which are used by the ladies in the villages to bundle their babies and also to wear as a skirt.
Each apron consists of a double layer of cloth for extra durability. One layer of chitenje cloth and a second layer of black lining.
Although we currently only offer two variations of our new aprons, more are being produced by Embangweni Village and will be available for purchase soon!
